Last March was a month full of events for dailymotion: with a new logo, a refreshed website and a whole new version of our video player, surprises kept on coming for the tenth anniversary of our platform!
DAILYMOTION’S “PLAY ON” IN PARIS
In Paris, dailymotion’s latest innovations and technology were revealed with a bang. Our teams took over the “l’Electric” bar on March 12th and welcomed partners and guests for a very musical evening with DJ Sets of Marius, Arthur King and Canblaster in collaboration with entertainment website Konbini.
Hosting the event at the L’Electric bar, an avant-garde and modern venue with a panoramic view of Paris by night, was also the perfect setting for a live recording of the 5th episode of our musical show Oui FM Rock Session with French rock band Moodoid.
More than 350 guests attended our event and dicovered our whole new faster, more customizable and full responsive HTML 5 video player, which marked a new milestone in the evolution of dailymotion (more info here).
On the other side of the world, dailymotion was partying too!
At the 2015 edition of SXSW, the biggest event of the creative industry in Austin (Texas), dailymotion settled its own house inside the village of the festival and unveiled its new logo and branding to its American audience.
All of the dailymotion crew teamed up to offer guests a schedule on a par with the new changes. Between March 13th and 15th, a succession of interactive activities and creative events were organized with dailymotion’s most influential partners : Tasted, Cinefix, HollyShorts, CraveOnline, OutsideTV, Machinima, Formula Drift et Boiler Room.
In the dailymotion lounge, people were able to watch our selection of the best and most creative videos of the year, sit down for live interviews with filmmakers from the official selection of the festival, and have a sip during the stand up show of the hilarious Ramin Nazer. It was also an opportunity for guests to meet the very best of dailymotion’s creative community and discuss about potential future collaborations!
Evening events were hosted by energetic up-and-coming DJs with sets of Burger Bash, Boiler Room and most of all, a showcase with Questlove from The Roots featuring Max Frost and Marian Hill.
Thanks to all of our collaborators, our guests and partners for such fun and successful parties!
